Guinness [gɪnɪs] is a dark kind of beer (Stout) from Irland.  Arthur Guinness developed it for the british army to make wounded soldiers very fast healty.

It is manufactured by the brewery Guinness, which was created by sir Arthur Guinness in the year 1756 in Dublin. The brewery is there an important employer. Since 1759 Guinness is brewed at St. James's gate in Dublin and in numerous further breweries around the world. Depending upon country of destination another prescription is used. 

In the Guinness store house one can experience more over history and the production process. The Guinness breweries belong nowadays to the British diageo company with seat in London.
